The flowers on this page were in bloom along the powerlines on either side of Shelton Avenue (Rt. 108) in June of 2000.

Bittersweet Nightshade.
Technically a vine, but looks more like a small shrub.  Wet area north of 108.

Arrowwood.  Pretty shrub (ornamental even).  Leaves have parallel veins. Prefers wet areas.

Blackberry. Very common.

Bluets. Very small plant, sky blue with yellow center.

Bush Honeysuckle. Note red veins in leaves.  Located south of 108, near Oak Valley Road.

Common Cinquefoil.  Very short plant that sends out runners. Leaves are in groups of five.  Extremely common along the powerlines in early summer.

Common Speedwell.  A very tiny plant, white flowers with lavendar lines.  North of 108.
