Maple Leaf Viburnum. Common shrub in
the Shelton Lakes region, both along the powerlines and often seen in bloom deep in the
shady woods. |

Field Hawkweed. Very common along
the powerlines, growing in large patches. |

Pink Corydalis.
Starts blooming in mid-May on Oak Valley Trail, still in bloom in June. |

Racemed Milkwort.
About 1 foot tall, delicate,
fairly common.
|

Sulfur Cinquefoil. Much larger than common
cinquefoil, and the yellow flowers are much more pale. This flower is more common in late
June, after common cinquefoil has stopped flowering. |

Lesser Stichwort
A tiny flower you might find in your lawn. |

Yellow Stargrass
|

Wild Rose.
There is
also a large pink species that blooms a few weeks later (see page 4). |

Yarrow. North of 108,
starting mid-June. |

Wood Sorrel.
Next
time I'll try and focus. The leaves look like clover. |

Oh look, a box turtle.
I
really did spot this turtle while taking these photos. |
